Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington has worked as a journalist, TV personality as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece she moved to England at the age of 16 and was able to graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it before the age of 21. Then she became a conservative syndicated writer after the graduation ceremony and, when The Huffington Post launched a year following, she launched an online platform to voice opinions with a critique of current political scenarios. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to publish their thoughts on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 when she decided to stand as an independent candidate in the California recall election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of the Detroit initiative to encourage the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes identified her as the top female in the media industry in the year 2009. The newspaper was ranked as at 12th place on their ranking. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media outlets in the year 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL properties of the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter of Konstantinos a management advisor and a journalist. Though she shared a close connection to both her father and mother and father, it was their relationship that shaped her. Through her early times, she demonstrated abilities to lead, and for this her name is still well-known. When she was 16 years old the girl moved in her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college and was the third female to hold the position of the president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned the degree of Master's in Economics. After her graduation, she was a columnist-critic and a host on TV. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
